Statistics recorded this week show that the total number of non-fungible token sales (NFTs), settled across more than a dozen different chains, has officially crossed $36 billion. While there are 18 competing blockchains offering NFTs, Ethereum-based NFT sales dominate over 75%. While Ronin commands the second largest amount of NFT sales, Axie Infinity’s NFTs have been the best-selling group for some time, with over $4 billion in global sales to date.

The $36 billion sales recorded on’s NFT dashboard stem from 18 different blockchains such as Ethereum, Ronin, Solana, Avalanche, Wax, Polygon, and Flow to name a few. However, Ethereum sales of $27 billion in NFT represent 75.02% of the total number of sales across all chains.

The best-selling NFT blockchains of all time along with Ethereum include Ronin ($4 billion), Solana ($2.2 billion), Flow ($1 billion), Polygon ($591 million), Wax ($430 million), Avalanche ( $277 million), Immutablex ($98.7 million), Nakheel ($50.5 million), and Tezos ($40.4 million). All-time NFT sales of the top nine blockchains add up to approximately 24.61% of non-Ethereum-based NFT sales.

The remaining nine blockchains under Tezo’s position account for only 0.37% of the $36 billion in NFT sales volume over the time. The 1,300,118 Ethereum NFT buyers and Ronin’s 1,742,207 NFT buyers are the only chains with over one million unique NFT buyers.

Of the $36 billion in NFT sales, the best-selling NFT group of all time is Axie Infinity, which has seen sales of more than $4 billion. The second largest group in terms of sales is Cryptopunks, which generated sales of $2.24 billion.

Cryptopunks follows the Bored Ape Yachting Club (BAYC) which has recorded sales of $2.12 billion ever. BAYC is followed by Mutant Ape Yacht Club ($1.52M), Artblocks ($1.25M), NBA Top Shot ($1M), Otherdeeds ($906K), Azuki ($756K), and Clonex ($671K). dollars), and Veefriends ($538 thousand). ).

Five of the most expensive NFTs sold out of the top ten are BAYC NFTs and two are Cryptopunks. Other groups in the most expensive NFT top ten list included the Meebits 10,761 and the Cyberkong VX 8252.

Of all the NFTs sold, most are purchased from the NFT Opensea marketplace with Market Looksrare tracking the platform’s progress. Other notable NFT markets include Magic Eden, Flow’s NBA Top Shot market, Mobox, Solanart, Wax’s Atomicmarket, Bloctobay and Rarible.

While billions of dollars of NFTs have been sold over the past few weeks, NFT sales have fallen dramatically. Weekly NFT volumes have fallen and weekly NFT sales have faltered over the past few weeks. If the cryptocurrency economy is indeed in a bear market cycle, it will be interesting to see how the NFT industry deals with the downturn.
