Sony Group Corporation has revealed that it has partnered with Theta Labs to launch a non-fungible 3D (NFT) token asset. The upcoming NFTs will be built for Sony Spatial Reality Display and are designed for 3D viewing.

SRD plans to integrate NFTs and metaverse concepts into its device offerings, and Nick Colsey, Sony’s vice president of business development, believes NFTs will enhance the experience. “Immersive 3D NFTs are a great way to bring out the capabilities of Sony’s SLRs to metaverse enthusiasts and collectors,” Kolsi said in a statement.

The Sony and Theta Labs partnership comes on the heels of the Theta Hackathon that took place two weeks ago, and Bridgetower Capital launched the Theta Enterprise Validator Node. However, the Theta Network has lost 86.1% of its value against the US dollar since April 16, 2021.

30 day stats show THETA is down 33.7% since last month. In terms of 17 blockchains that have issued NFTs, Theta ranks 14th in terms of sales volume. In terms of all-time stats, Theta saw $14.74 million in NFT sales with 1,279 buyers, 1,159 sellers, and 8,165 deals.
