Instead, Blue Apple founder Portia Hart suggested that the funds be directed to the Green Apple to build the institution’s Corona craftsmanship workshop, and in return, Blue Apple Beach would stock Corona beer. The deal was accepted and a grant of 30 million pesos (about £5,500) was received.The workshop is now complete, and today, six women from the village of Bocachica, in Tierra Bomba, have a dedicated space to work, display and sell their products, and safely store their tools, providing them with a monthly income to support them. families.

Since opening, the women have sold products to local businessmen and tourists, and created 26 businesses with customers in Cartagena, Medellin and Bogota — supplying restaurants across the country with glasses of water, and making a batch of products each week, all reducing the glass.
