Best Apple Gifts to Give Graduate 2022 Right Now

Graduation season is upon us. Whether you graduated from high school, college, or trade school, Apple definitely has a gift for everyone. These items are useful for those continuing their education, but those entering the workforce may also benefit from them. While there may be new items revealed at WWDC 2022 next month, these are the ones you can buy right away for your favorite graduate.

MacBook Air

While rumors persist about a redesign of the MacBook Air that will be announced next month, the current model is still a beast. This laptop combines the power of the Apple M1 chip in a sleek, slim design that’s perfect for bringing with you on the go. My favorite thing about this MacBook is how nice it is to write on. Not to mention that this computer is also fanless and therefore silent. Being an entry-level laptop from Apple, it works great for most users. I recommend to my colleagues Michael’s guide if you are not sure if you need a MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro.

IPAD

The iPad Air is usually the tablet I recommend to students. I love the laminate screen and Apple Pencil (2nd generation) support. Not only does it look great in fun colors, but it’s a multitasking powerhouse. However, after owning the iPad Air (4th generation) for two weeks last year, I found myself extremely disappointed with its battery life.

Months later, after trying the iPad (9th generation) for a while, it’s easy to recommend to students. It has great value for money and much better battery life for general use. Even with the older design and unlaminated screen, it’s still a great tool for taking notes and drawing. I use the XIRON Stylus Pen instead of the Apple Pencil (1st generation) and find that it works just as well and doesn’t lag.

beats buds studio

The Beats Studio Buds arrived last summer and are lightweight headphones with high-quality sound. These earbuds integrate well with both Apple and Android devices. Just like the AirPods, the Beats Studio Buds have Apple’s Find My app support and work with Siri. There is also Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a Transparency mode. Transparency mode is similar to noise canceling, except that it lets you hear the noise around you.

I have to say, ANC is an essential feature for students and professionals who need to get rid of any background noise. With Beats Studio Buds, you can get an affordable alternative to AirPods Pro without sacrificing important features.

AirTag

Unveiled last year, AirTag is a coin-shaped tracker that integrates with the Apple ecosystem. It’s designed to keep track of your items with Apple’s Find My app and is commonly used with backpacks, keys, bikes, and even dogs. If you are really struggling to find an item, you can use Accurate Tracking to get a more accurate location of the lost item. Accurate tracking will give you step-by-step directions to AirTag. A popular accessory used by students these days, it’s almost a must if you’re worried about anything getting lost or stolen.

Accessories for Apple devices

ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass Privacy Screen for iPhone: The idea for a privacy screen came from one of my friends. It’s great for keeping your privacy on the go, as no one can see what you’re doing on your iPhone if they look over your shoulder. This is ideal for anyone traveling or in crowded environments such as university campuses or public transportation. advice: Make sure that the privacy screen you purchase is compatible with the iPhone model of the receiver.

USB-C hub: The USB-C hub is a much-needed accessory for those who have a MacBook Air. With only two USB-C ports, there is a chance that you may need some additional adapters and the port is an easy way to go. This hub features an HDMI port, two USB-A ports, an SD card slot, and an additional USB-C port. Its small size makes it portable and easy to bring with you. It is also easier (and sometimes cheaper) to purchase a hub versus separate adapters.

Apple MagSafe Battery Pack: The Apple MagSafe Battery Pack works with the iPhone 12 and 13 lineup. It’s an external battery for your phone that connects from the back via MagSafe. It’s useful in powering your phone for those long days when you may not have access to a charger. I recently witnessed a firmware update in which charging my iPhone on the go is now faster than ever.
