Improve your Android battery life with these handy tips

If you want to get the most out of your smartphone and improve the battery life of your Android device, these handy tips should help you get the most out of your device’s battery.

There are a number of things you can do to increase your Android phone’s battery life and this includes things like reducing screen brightness, turning off the screen sooner, using power saving mode when needed, and much more. Let’s find out about these changes that you can make to your smartphone to improve battery life.

Reduce phone screen brightness

Screen brightness is one of the most overlooked tips that can improve battery life, even reducing that small amount can give you extra battery life. If you’re one of those people who always have full brightness screens, reducing that can have a huge impact on your battery usage.

If you are not using the adaptive brightness or auto brightness setting on your Android phone, it is recommended that you turn this on as it will adapt to the lighting around you and can use less battery as the phone does not use full brightness when you don’t need it.

This can be done from the Settings menu on your Android phone, and what exactly it’s called may vary by device. To run this go to Settings > Display Then select either Auto brightness or adaptive brightness and run it.

Turn on Dark Theme

If you have an Android phone with an AMOLED screen, it is recommended to use the Dark Theme on your phone, it will change the wallpaper on the device and many apps to black. When an AMOLED screen displays black, it uses very little battery power when compared to showing white or another color.

To play the Dark Theme on your Android device, you have to go to it Settings > Display then select dark appearance. The exact way this can be turned on may vary by manufacturer.

Reduce the auto-lock time on your device

Another usual setting on your Android phone that may help you improve battery life is how long your screen stays on when you are not using your device. This is called auto lock and you can choose how quickly to lock the screen after you are done using your device. If you use your device multiple times throughout the day, this can add up.

It is a good idea to reduce the auto-lock time on your phone, 15 seconds or 30 seconds is the time to choose, your phone will automatically lock the screen when you are inactive on the device for 15 or 30 seconds, whichever you choose. This can be done by going to Settings > an offer then choose sleeping time on your phone.

Use the adaptive battery on your Android device

Adaptive Battery is a great feature on Android, it reduces the apps that use your battery when you don’t need to and you can also choose to optimize the battery for your different apps.

To turn on Adaptive Battery on your device, go to Settings> battery and choose adaptive batteryYou can also turn on battery optimization for your different apps.

To turn on this feature, go to Settings > apps > All apps then select batteryunder Manage battery usage, select the benefactor. You can find more details about this on Google.

Switch to 4G from 5G when you’re not using it

5G brings a huge difference in speeds from 4G, and it also uses a lot of your phone’s battery, you can switch from 4G to 5G when you are not using 5G. For example, you might want to use 5G when streaming a TV show or movie, but when you’re streaming something like music, 4G may be enough.

To easily switch from 5G to 4G on your Android phone, go to Settings > Network And Internet > mobile network > favorite network Then select either 4G or 5G. This can come in handy and can help you save some battery life on your device when you don’t need 5G speeds.
