MSP mergers and acquisitions involving Apple macOS, iOS device management continues to vigorously

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity involving MSPs in the Apple macOS and iOS device management market continues to grow aggressively. Likewise, merger and acquisition activity involving Apple device management software companies was also strong.

The most recent example of a deal includes CTI Technology’s acquisition of MacHero, a Chicago-based Managed Information Technology Services (MSP) provider focused on Apple macOS and iOS devices. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is the 396th technology M&A deal that ChannelE2E has covered so far in 2022. Watch over 1,000 technology M&A deals involving MSPs, MSSPs, and IT service providers listed here.

CTI Acquires MacHero: MSP and Apple Hardware Support Details

Founded in 2004, CTI Technology is headquartered in Elgin, Illinois. The company provides managed IT and cyber security services to companies that typically have 20 to 250 employees.

Meanwhile, MacHero provides Apple-centric technology consulting and managed IT services to businesses in Chicago. Key capabilities, according to the company, include strategic planning, alignment of security and IT best practices, implementation of hardware and software solutions, and customer-focused help desk support.

In a prepared statement regarding the deal, CTI Technology CEO Aaron Kane said:

“As Apple becomes more of a primary presence in the business, I want to make sure that CTI can deliver a system-less experience to our customers. This acquisition marks the joining of two closely aligned, customer-centric business cultures, and the expansion of the two companies’ suites of critical IT services” .

MacHero head Gino Generelli has been added:

“In my 14 years working at MacHero, the needs of our customers have steadily changed, which is why I was looking for the right partner to complement our team’s competencies. This was really about taking care of our customers and our employees and making sure that our business would remain relevant and continue to grow.”
