Apple Business Essentials Now Available for Small Businesses
Thousands of small businesses have reported significant time savings and a renewed ability to focus on their mission in Apple Business Essentials beta.
Cupertino, California Apple today announced that Apple Business Essentials is now available to all small businesses in the United States. The new service combines device management, 24/7 Apple support, and iCloud storage into flexible subscription plans. Apple also revealed new AppleCare+ for Business Essentials options that can be added to any plan. In addition, a free two-month trial will be available to all customers, including those using Apple Business Essentials in the trial version.
“Apple has a deep, decades-old commitment to helping small businesses thrive. From the dedicated teams in our stores to the App Store Small Business program, our goal is to help every business grow,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of enterprise marketing and education at Apple. competition and success.” We look forward to bringing Apple Business Essentials to more small businesses to simplify device management, storage, support, and repairs. Using this new service frees up invaluable time for customers – including those without dedicated IT staff – that they can invest back in their business.”
Apple Business Essentials supports small businesses throughout the entire device management lifecycle—from device setup to device upgrades—while providing robust security, priority support, data storage, and backup. A complete solution starts with simple employee input, allowing small businesses to easily configure, deploy, and manage Apple products from anywhere. With the groups feature, groups of apps can be handed over to employees or teams, and settings can be automatically pushed to devices, such as VPN configurations, Wi-Fi passwords, and more.
Employees simply sign in to their work account on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac with a Managed Apple ID. Once signed in, they will have access to everything they need to be productive, including the new Apple Business Essentials app, where they can download the business apps available to them. Managed Apple IDs can be created by federating with Microsoft Azure Active Directory, coming later this spring, with Google Workspace Identity Services, allowing employees to sign in to their devices with a single work username and password. Apple Business Essentials works with company-provided and personally owned devices, and with Apple’s User Enrollment feature, employee personal information remains private and encrypted separate from business data.
In addition to simplified setup, Apple Business Essentials offers a dedicated iCloud business account for simple and secure storage, backup, and collaboration of files and documents. Business data is automatically stored and backed up on your iPhone or iPad, making it easy to upgrade to a new device. And iCloud Drive keeps information synced across your Mac, making it easier to move between devices at work.
